A nail biting draw for the U12s

Passion, drive and teamwork helped Vandals hold Windsor off

This Monday saw the Vandals u12 team take the court at charters, to face the team from windsor.
We welcomed back Katie, in her first game since her wrist injury, but sadly missing Sophie amongst others. (Get well soon sophie!) Up stepped Nelum and Molly who were pulled in from the U11 squad.

So a mixed squad took the court, and think it was fair to say took a little while to get their rhythm. However, once the girls did, there were some brilliant drives forward towards the ball, some intelligent lateral passes, and some visionary feeds into the circle.

Vandals had a strong tight defence, and showed hunger for the ball, all while keeping steady feet, and looking to gain their balance.

All in all a really fab game, with a nail biting finish, but Vandals held off the late charge from windsor to keep a draw. All the girls who stepped on court tonight should be super proud of their performance.
