Monmouth vs WHCC 1st XI

WHCC back on track with an important scalp

After a disappointing defeat to dinas the weekend before, the firsts travelled to monmouth keen for redemption.

Whcc bowled first and donk continued his fine bowling form with a 4 wicket haul. Monmouth were 50-5 but a recovery led by Adam Roberts who got 50 for them got them to about 120 before wickets started tumbling again with Tibbs and Vanos claiming a couple of scalps each.

134 all out. A fine effort on the road that normally is monmouth. They then hit us hard with spin, spin and more spin. Casual Kim hit 25 opening up on his debut for us but at 70-5 things were a bit dodgy.

Chris was still in though and as he spent more time at the crease, victory got a step closer. Skipper rogers was a helpful parter with the two of them seeing us home with 5 wickets and 10 overs to spare. Chris finishing on 61*.
