A Man of the Match performance by Jonathan Bees guided The Woodcutters to their third cup final after a sensational victory over Dummond Trinity at New Field on Monday evening.
Bees took 4-8 in a dynamic three over stint before breaching the boundary no fewer than 7 times (including one six) in a bat carrying 49 N.O. that sees the non-league side reach the Final of the Terry Newcombe Cup.
Youngster Cameron Devine put in a solid 22, whilst seasoned campaigner Chris Banks added 17 to the winning total.
Thanks to Ivor Glynn for his umpiring stint and to Heather Bowie for her scoring exploits.
The win was a welcome boost to the Club who saw former players Jack Carr and Alan Anderson both pass away earlier this month. Our thoughts are with their respective families and friends.
The Terry Newcombe final is scheduled for 3rd August, 6pm at New Field.
