Marketing Manager

Salary: £28-36k depending on experience

Location: Leeds, WF17 9TB

Starts: June-July 2015

Pitchero, the UK’s leading sports website service, is looking for an experienced and dynamic marketing professional to join the team and oversee all marketing activity with existing and new customers

The role

We are looking for a marketing manager with specific experience in subscriptions/memberships to drive engagement with Pitchero’s 12,000 customers worldwide.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing a marketing plan to engage and motivate them to increase their level of membership.

The role will also involve developing a creative strategy for new customer targets.

As a marketing manager, reporting to the CEO, you will head up a team and be supported by a marketing operations manager, business development manager and design team.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and delivering a strategic marketing plan to communicate with existing customers through print, email, telesales, social media, blogs, vouchers and promotions
  • Creating engaging content to be used across all mediums to reach existing customers
  • Creating detailed briefs for the design team and overseeing all approval processes
  • Developing a strategic marketing plan to target new customers and promote the ‘Pitchero voice’
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of the Pitchero blog, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages
  • Drafting content for marketing use: press releases, blogs, presentations, website copy, email marketing etc.
  • Working with the design team to create presentation documents, booklets and guides to send out to external customers and governing bodies
  • Overseeing any creative work produced for sales and marketing activity
  • Communicating and managing the team in a timely and effective manner
  • Contributing effective team solutions for problems, issues, opportunities by sharing and implementing best practice ideas
  • Weekly/monthly meetings to discuss and review work, objectives and plan ahead
  • Providing regular feedback to the team
  • Grow existing customers and subscriptions

Skills required

  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of working with design and digital solutions
  • Knowledge of useful tools and platforms to aid the day-to-day working
  • Ability to respond to client demands quickly and efficiently
  • Experience of using CMS and social media monitoring platforms
  • Experience and knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator (preferable but not essential)
  • Ability to work to a brief and delegate tasks accordingly
  • Working within a team and also individually

Graphic Designer (Part Time)

Pitchero, the UK’s leading sports website service, is looking for a part-time graphic designer to join the growing team to deliver design work for sales, marketing and online development.

This is a great opportunity to work with a young and dynamic team and help create effective design work for a fast-growing company.

The role

With flexible part-time hours to suit, the role will require regular support on design work across the business including: sales and marketing collateral (direct mail, presentation templates, email marketing) as well as website design and artwork for content marketing.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Managing the brand and marketing collateral for Pitchero both print and online
  • Website design for club, league and county websites
  • Designing templates for email marketing campaigns and graphics targeted at clubs and customers
  • Designing graphics, logos, infographics and icons for use across social media and the Pitchero blog
  • Developing design concepts for printed materials such as: magazine adverts, direct mail, leaflets and merchandise
  • Personalised content creation - bespoke design work for individual customers
  • Feedback on existing collateral and providing recommendations for consistent design across the brand
  • Printed materials, banners and collateral for exhibitions and public events
  • Designing template presentation documents, booklets and guides to send out to external customers and governing bodies
  • Working with the development team to complement the design efforts for website development and creation
  • Working with the sales and marketing team to create new materials following a specific brief and deadlines
  • Communicating with the team in a timely and effective manner
  • Contributing effective team solutions for problems, issues, opportunities by sharing and implementing best practice ideas
  • Ability to provide contacts for print, merchandise and oversee these processes
  • Weekly/monthly meetings to discuss and review work, objectives and plan ahead
  • Providing regular feedback to the team

Skills required

  • Minimum of two years working as a graphic designer
  • Experience and knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience and knowledge of designing for print – a basic understanding of the print process (PDFs and using FTP sites)
  • Experience of HTML, CSS, Wordpress and designing for web
  • Experience of designing content for social media/online use
  • A good grasp of technology and the ability to learn new software and platforms for digital and online content creation
  • Ability to work to a brief and keep within the brand style/guidelines
  • Working within a team and also individually

Telesales Executive

Salary: OTE of £20k+

Location: Leeds, WF17 9TB

Pitchero, the UK’s leading sports website service, is looking for two dedicated telesales executives to join the team to support continuing business growth and development.

The role

The successful candidates will have a keen interest in sport, specifically football, rugby, cricket, hockey or netball and previous experience working in telesales. They will be working closely with the sales and marketing team to contact and upgrade existing customers to new packages available from Pitchero.

The role will NOT involve cold calling.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Calling existing customers to sell new packages from Pitchero and secure monthly subscription upgrades
  • Understanding the Pitchero packages offering and being able to communicate and sell these effectively to customers
  • Follow up emails and phone calls to secure upgrades and maintain contact with customers
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell/add value to existing customers
  • Meet weekly targets set by the CEO to secure regular upgrades and meet the sales objectives
  • Weekly/monthly meetings to discuss and update information, targets and achievements
  • Updating and managing the company database
  • Providing regular feedback to the team
  • Contribute to the team performance by sharing and implementing best practice ideas

Skills required

  • A proven background in telesales / sales - at least one year working within a sales environment
  • Comprehensive computer, keyboard and telephone skills
  • Ability to work alone and in a team
  • Previous experience of handling difficult customers
  • Ability to make 30+ calls a day and maintain positive tone and attitude throughout each call
  • Ability to work to a dedicated brief/script when required and to use your own initiative
  • Must have the minimum of a GCSE qualification in Maths and English

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

Pitchero is looking for two motivated individuals who are keen to join a fast-paced business with a team of sports enthusiasts.

Successful candidates will be required to work 40 hours per work (and additional out of hours work when necessary).
