Marketing Manager

Salary: £30-40k depending on experience

Pitchero, the UK’s leading sports website service, is looking for an experienced and dynamic marketing professional to join the team and oversee all marketing activity with existing and new customers

The role

We are looking for a marketing manager with specific experience in subscriptions/memberships to drive engagement with Pitchero’s 12,000 customers worldwide.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing a marketing plan to engage and motivate them to increase their level of membership.

The role will also involve developing a creative strategy for new customer targets.

As a marketing manager, reporting to the CEO, you will head up a team and be supported by a marketing operations manager, business development manager and design team.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and delivering a strategic marketing plan to communicate with existing customers through print, email, telesales, social media, blogs, vouchers and promotions
  • Creating engaging content to be used across all mediums to reach existing customers
  • Creating detailed briefs for the design team and overseeing all approval processes
  • Developing a strategic marketing plan to target new customers and promote the ‘Pitchero voice’
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of the Pitchero blog, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages
  • Drafting content for marketing use: press releases, blogs, presentations, website copy, email marketing etc.
  • Working with the design team to create presentation documents, booklets and guides to send out to external customers and governing bodies
  • Overseeing any creative work produced for sales and marketing activity
  • Communicating and managing the team in a timely and effective manner
  • Contributing effective team solutions for problems, issues, opportunities by sharing and implementing best practice ideas
  • Weekly/monthly meetings to discuss and review work, objectives and plan ahead
  • Providing regular feedback to the team
  • Grow existing customers and subscriptions

Skills required

  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of working with design and digital solutions
  • Knowledge of useful tools and platforms to aid the day-to-day working
  • Ability to respond to client demands quickly and efficiently
  • Experience of using CMS and social media monitoring platforms
  • Experience and knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator (preferable but not essential)
  • Ability to work to a brief and delegate tasks accordingly
  • Working within a team and also individually

This is a full time role, however we would consider flexible / part-time hours, subject to terms and candidate.

Marketing Executive (Graduate)

Salary: £16k to 22k depending on experience

Pitchero, the UK’s leading sports website service, is looking for a creative and energetic marketing executive to join the team.

The role

The marketing executive will be part of our marketing and design team, providing key support for ongoing internal and external communications.

Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, we are looking for someone with enthusiasm, creativity and the energy to ramp up Pitchero’s existing marketing activity. If you have an interest in sport that’s an additional bonus!

With support from the senior team you will be responsible for copywriting, planning and implementing marketing campaigns, as well as overseeing and managing Pitchero’s social media channels and blog.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Supporting the senior team to develop Pitchero’s marketing plan with new and existing customers.
  • Responsible for copywriting including the blog, press releases, email marketing, social media, award entries, case studies, direct mail and case studies.
  • Implementing marketing campaigns and running the day-to-day activity.
  • Developing Pitchero’s social media strategy and managing the daily activity of Facebook Twitter, LinkedIn and blog updates.
  • Creating briefs and liaising with the design team where required for any design activity.
  • Creating engaging content to be used across all mediums to reach existing customers.
  • Supporting the senior team to develop Pitchero’s marketing plan with new and existing customers.
  • Providing regular feedback to the team through weekly/monthly reports.

Skills required

  • Marketing or media communications degree (or similar).
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience of using social media platforms, monitoring tools and/or CMS.
  • Basic HTML and CSS (desirable).

Junior Graphic Designer

Salary: OTE of £18k+

Location: Leeds, WF17 9TB

Pitchero, the UK’s leading sports website service, is looking for a creative and energetic junior graphic designer to join the team.

The role

The junior graphic designer will be integral to the design team at Pitchero. Working directly with the marketing and development team, you will provide support across a broad range of design projects. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with tight deadlines, creating a variety of digital artwork including websites, emails and banners. From time to time you will be required to design and create posters, flyers and company merchandise. This is a busy, hands-on role where experience and skill at working in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is paramount.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • To create awesome and engaging digital artwork for Pitchero clients
  • To support the marketing team with ad hoc design projects, including email, banner advertising, posters and print advertising.
  • To support the development team with small UI desktop and mobile projects

Skills required

  • Graduate in graphic design, or similar
  • Excellent Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator skills
  • Basic HTML and CSS (desirable)
  • Video editing (desirable)
  • A strong understanding of website design and responsive UI
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work to a tight deadline
