After the excitement of the 4-1 FA Cup victory, it is back to the bread and butter of the Evostik East for the Owls on Tuesday evening (7.45pm), when we welcome Sheffield FC.

Only 2 points out of a possible 12 so far, which has seen Clee slip to the foot of the embryonic table. However, this does not tell the full story! Aside from the poor performance at Ossett United, standards have been improving as the new players settle in. The Owls were extremely unlucky against Frickley Athletic and, after two Cup wins, should enter the encounter with high confidence.

Our visitors sit 14th after a mixed opening to their campaign. They have lost both games on the road (4-0 at Marske United and 3-2 at Stocksbridge Park Steels), as well as crashing out of the FA Cup with a heavy 5-1 reverse at Hyde United.

Last season, Sheffield produced a fine show at Bradley and came away with a 4-0 scoreline. It finished 1-1 in the return in April, when Brody Roberston was on the mark us.

So, all to play for, with a win lifting Clee above our visitors. Support has been superb at New Linden so far and it is much appreciated by management & players. Come along tomorrow and be part of cheering the Owls to victory!
