Knaresborough make the journey this Saturday to the Mitton Group Stadium to face in form Eccleshill United. We have had a rare week without a midweek game and go into the match on the back of a 2-2 draw at home against Hallam. Our run of clean sheets in the league was finally ended when Dan Atkinson was beaten from the penalty spot. Brad Walker scored both goals last week to reach double figures for the season. The trip to Eccleshill marks the start of a tough November with away trips to North Shields and 2nd placed Yorkshire Amateur in the league to follow.
Fourth placed Eccleshill will go into the match in great form having won their last 4 league matches without conceding a goal. Their most recent victory came on Tuesday night when they had an excellent 2-0 win away at Armthorpe. Jonathan Irving got both of their goals on the night. He is also their top goal scorer for the season with 14 goals in total. He was sent off last week during their win over Bolsover so will be missing this weekend due to suspension. Eccleshill do have plenty of other attacking threats so it is sure to be a tough game against a confident team.
