Alas the time has come its the final game of the season.......................
We are warming up to welcome the men from the frozen south west as Tadley make the trip up the A34 to visit Holton Playing Fields of dreams!
In a tight encounter earlier in the season Wheatley came away with just a loosing bonus point with Aaron Laman pulling us within 7 points with the last kick of the game following try's from Joe Taylor, Jack Taylor and Iain Downer. it wasn't the day out for the purple men, having forgotten to take the water bottles and kicking Tee ( one job Pooch one job........) Arron was well rattled Geoff had kindly leant him a cone but it just wasn't the same! the bus trip back was on the other hand fairly well lubricated with us all having seen Dan Bland do two shoes........
Given the fact Wheatley can neither concede or gain a position in the league this fixture becomes the rare opportunity to try new things out and allowing all to play in the words of William Wallace FFFFRRRREEEEDDDDOOOMMMM.
Upfront the trio of Alex Acklam, Pete Mitchell and Alex Gabbidon look to build on the last couple of fixtures and continue to dominate, Joe Hobdell and Jack Atkinson will be stoking up the engine room with Spencer Bailey and Caillin Taylor coming in at open side having impressed from the bench last week,
Gav Belcher starts at 9 because hes the only scrum half available Arron will look to add to his 211 points tally with Toby Butler returning to 12 Sanda provides a wise head at 13 with Jordan Hook switching to wing and Josh Hillsdon coming in at 15 on the other wing Joe Taylor is the only man who can catch unavailable Jack Taylor to the golden boot but scoring 4 tries will be a tall order.
On the bench this week Ez will add impact to proceedings Jake Durbin (utility) and a late inclusion Dan Bland.
Last game fellas enjoy it.
