Wheatley on the Road again
With the last game lost by only four points in the very closing moments of the game, the boys in purple and black are hungry for a victory.
The unfortunate news of the seasoned hooker Jake During is set to be out for a number of weeks due to a grazed elbow. Therefore, we see Joe Hyde coming in to add experience alongside the two familiar props of Keir “how long is left, ref” Williams and the Captain Max “‘I’m actually South African” Rustler-Burger.
The upcoming fixture against Buckingham 3s is a tough one. Wheatley have yet to win a game against the opposition from the other Shire in 5 games and only once came up with a hard fought draw. Wheatley are hoping it'll be sixth time lucky.
The results from the Buckingham v Aylesbury I(II) 0-110 gives the boys in purple hope as they had dominated their game against Aylesbury for periods of the game.
They will do so with a mixture of a spring lambs with pace and seasoned mutton providing the experience will hopefully show what the pack can deliver, as it did last week.
The marching direction has been set, the boys are confident and a game of fast pace rugby on what seems to become a nice sunny winter weekend. Wheatley have the added bonus of the matriarch being back in the squad providing the guidance and knowledge gained over the years to good use.
