A first trip to Yorkshire for the Zebras
SATURDAY 22nd AUGUST 2015
TOOLSTATION NCEL PREMIER DIVISION
TADCASTER ALBION v BRIGG TOWN
KICK OFF 3:00pm
EC SURFACING sponsored Brigg Town travel to Yorkshire to face Tadcaster Albion in the league this weekend.
Andy Foster will be hoping for some of the luck they seemed to have gone without this season so far. If we had had that luck at Clipstone we would have got something from the game. The lads know they make most of their own luck but they gave it their all on Tuesday.
I hope to bring in a striker at the weekend which will help us no end as its that bit up front we fall short on. Tadcaster are a good side and one which is expected to do well this year. They just ended a bit short at the end of last season but they have a good following and deserve to be playing in a higher division. We will have to try and outsmart them this weekend but it will be a really tough fixture for the lads.
Tadcaster who won 5-0 at Athersley Recreation on Wednesday will be looking for the three points on Saturday in an attempt to go above Clipstone to the top of the table.
So far in the league they have won one and lost one beating Maltby Main 6-3 on the opening day but going down to Parkgate 4-3 a few days later.
This proves that the Brewers can and do score a lot of goals and lets hope The Zebra defence is on top form. A good crowd is expected for the fixture and we hope a few Zebras make the journey to Tadcaster.
