Buoyed by a couple of victories that has seen them climb up the table, Sandbach travel to League leaders Scunthorpe, for an exciting clash on Saturday. With players back and competition for places, Sandbach will fancy causing an upset and do have something of a reputation for messing up the form book over the years. Teams aren’t top for no reason though and Sandbach know they will need to be at their best, for their recent run to continue. Scunthorpe are well known to the Bradwall Road team, having been in the Midlands League for six of the seven seasons, whilst Sandbach have been there. Traditionally they play in a pragmatic style, liking to boot for position, kicking penalties and utilising a very effective driving maul. So Sandbach will want to be on their best behaviour, to limit these opportunities and look to run their big boys around, if they wish to knock them off their premier spot.
