A Brief History of Kidlington FC
Formed back in 1909 Kidlington played local level football before joining the Oxfordshire Senior League in 1951. After winning the league title in 1952/53 The Greens elected to join the Hellenic League in 1954 which became the Premier Division in 1956. They were relegated to Division One at the end of the 1961/62 season but were promoted back as runners-up in 1963/64. Kidlington returned to Division One in 1966 and would remain there (with the exception of a three year return to the Premier from 1979-1982) until 2005. They played in the Premier Division for the next eleven seasons becoming champions in 2015/16. The Greens were promoted to Southern League Division One Central where they finished in 12th position before transferring across to the West Division for the 2017/18 season.

Form Guide
Kidlington find themselves in 12th position in the West Division (W7 D8 L5) after making the sideways step from the East Division in the summer. They are the draw specialists of the division (along with Cinderford) with eight so far. Kidlington only have won win in their last six (over bottom club Bishop’s Cleeve) but came very close to doubling that statistic on Boxing Day. The Greens conceded twice in injury time to surrender a 3-1 lead at home to Didcot Town.
Kidlington’s last six (DWLLLD)
26/12/17 Kidlington 3 Didcot Town 3 (League)
23/12/17 Yate Town 3 Kidlington 1 (League)
09/12/17 Wimborne Town 1 Kidlington 0 (League)
05/12/17 Salisbury 6 Kidlington 1 (League)
02/12/17 Kidlington 2 Bishop’s Cleeve 0 (League)
29/11/17 Kidlington 1 Cirencester Town 1 (League)
Bideford are now on a run of four games without a win after a disappointing 1-1 at home to Barnstaple in the North Devon Derby. In atrocious conditions Bideford conceded a last minute equaliser to make it just three points from their last four games. The Robins will once again be hoping their decent away form can help make up for their indifferent home record this season at Kidlington on Saturday.
