The Wellmen return to Huws Gray Alliance League action on Saturday, looking for three points to stay in the top 3 of the League and to keep on the heels of Caernarfon Town and Airbus who occupy the top two places.
The Wellmen go into the game on the back of last week's 3-0 victory over Corwen in the Welsh Cup, where goals from McDaid and a brace by Steve Lewis saw the Wellmen set up a 2nd round tie against Guilsfield. Queens Park suffered a 3-0 defeat at Spar Mid Wales side Llanraeadr Ym Mochnant to end their interest in this season's Welsh Cup competition.
Martin Ford's side currently sit second bottom in the League, and after a good 2-2 draw on the opening day of the season at Caersws, then an excellent 4-0 win over Airbus a few days later, Queens Park have struggled after that and only picked up a point at home to Holyhead Hotspur since the first couple of games. The Wellmen will not look to much into that and will make sure that they are focused in getting the three points and not slip up against the home side.
Holywell supporters who are travelling to the game are reminded that the game is played at Stansty Park, where the Wellmen used to play LEX II a few years ago. Kick off is 2.30pm so hopefully we will see a few of you making the short journey up to Wrexham.
Come on Town!
