I did not expect we would be travelling to Maldon on the back of two heavy defeats but that's where we find ourselves. Perhaps Ware can take heart and an example from history as Saturday will see the 212th anniversary of Nelson's victory at Trafalgar over the combined Spanish and French fleets.
At least we only face one opponent on Saturday but they proved to be strong adversaries in the opening match of the season when we lost 1-0 at Wodson Park. They scored when they were on top but when it was our turn to put on the pressure after half time they denied us a goal.
Since then and despite some unexpected reverses the Jammers have established themselves comfortably in eighth place in the table. That said they are just three points ahead of us albeit that there is a gap of seven places between us.
