Match Preview

I knew before I started this that we didn't have a good record against Bracknell but even I was surprised when I was reminded that we have only beaten them once in 12 meetings. They seem to have done a Hertford on us with our meetings mostly confined to periods when they were doing well or we were doing badly or both. It's not a good sign then that Bracknell are lying nine places above us in the table and are one of the favourites for promotion.

Our ways had parted when they joined the Southern League in 2004/5 where in six seasons they finished no higher than 19th out of 22. Ultimately relegation took The Robins to the Hellenic League before resurgence on and off the pitch saw them gain promotion back to Step 4 for the beginning of this season.

Last week Bracknell were held at home by league leaders Marlow but they did score three goals to become only the second team this season to record that many against the Bucks side. The other team? Ware, of course. Perhaps we'll see more than a few goals again on Saturday.

We will though be without Bradley Fraser who is on the second of his three match suspension after his red card against Chipstead. I am told however that Jason Brown will have been back in training this week and that Alaa Oujdi could be over his bout of tonsillitis.
