Dyce welcomes Peterhead RFC to the Central Park pitches this weekend in gameweek 14 of the BT Caledonia 3 North league.

Despite an upturn in performance and crossing the whitewash more regularly since the winter break, Dyce are still seeking to register their first points of the season against a Peterhead side who have shown significant progression over the past few seasons to sit 7th in the league with 25 points from nine matches. Vying to be “the best of the rest” behind the league leading group with Aberdeen University, Gordonian 2ndXV and Aberdeenshire, ‘Heid will be looking to clock up a bonus point win to recover some lost ground.

Dyce welcomes back Co-Captain Rob Childs at 8 although Callum Robertson is out with a hand injury sustained last week in the defeat to Wanderers. David Hay will be looking to add to this tally of 39 points this season from Fly Half following a good run out last time out at Groats road (10pts). Dyce will need to be wary of Kyle Hutton who bagged himself a hat-trick last weekend against Fraserburgh in the Banff & Buchan Derby.

Captain David Hay commented, “After a few very positive games, and a couple of very good training sessions. We are all really looking to getting back out on the pitch this weekend so we can build on these results and get that win.”

Peterhead who have won twice in their last five games registered big home wins against teams below them in the league; 39-0 to Fraserburgh last weekend and 50-12 against Moray 2XV back at the start of January. The Red & Blacks have only registered one win on the road this season, again at Fraserburgh (17-28), giving Dyce a sniff at upsetting the form book come Saturday.
