Farsley Celtic make the trip to Hurst Cross to take on Ashton United looking to build on their opening day win. Farsley and Ashton met in the third round of the Integro League Cup last season, with Ashton United then sitting a division higher. The Celts were ultimately defeated 3-2 following a late Ryan Crowther penalty for Ashton, after Lamin Colley and Aiden Savory, both now departed, scored to haul Farsley level following a 2-0 half-time deficit.

Farsley enter this game following an impressive opening day victory against Coalville Town. Despite falling behind, a James Walshaw brace and debut strike from Nathan Cartman saw Farsley prevail with a 3-1 victory. Nathan Turner, Jordan Deacey and Ryan Watson all missed Saturday's win, and are doubts ahead of the trip to Hurst Cross.

Ashton United began the 2017/18 season, with a hard-earned point their reward from a trip to Hednesford Town's Keys Park. Ashton took the lead through star striker Matty Chadwick before being pegged back by a Hednesford penalty. It has been a testing pre-season for Ashton with just one win from seven, a 1-0 victory over Stockport County, and they will be desperate to get their first three points of the season as soon as possible, as they look to build on last campaign's 11th placed finish.

So why not make the short trip to Hurst Cross to cheer on The Celts, kick-off is at 7.45pm and admission prices are £10 adults, £6 concessions and free for under 14s. The ground's postcode is OL6 8DY. See you there!
