Farsley Celtic will travel to Altrincham's Moss Lane on Tuesday for the first meeting between the two sides since Farsley's reformation. Last season Altrincham were relegated from the National League North, whilst The Celts won promotion to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division via the playoffs.

Farsley have enjoyed a fantastic start to life in a new division, and are currently 2nd in the league. The Celts started the season unbeaten through their first five games, before a difficult run of just one win in four. However, Farsley have won back-to-back games with excellent victories against Grantham Town (3-0) and Halesowen Town (3-1), with ex-Altrincham forward James Walshaw hitting the top of the goal scoring charts. Farsley Celtic welcomed back club captain Danny Ellis on Saturday, whilst Jordan Deacey got game time for Albion Sports in their FA Cup tie on Sunday. James Pollard will be unavailable due to suspension.

Altrincham have endured a mixed start to the 2017/18 campaign, and currently lie in 13th place, seven points behind Farsley with a game in hand. After a difficult start Altrincham won four games in a row with wins against Whitby Town (1-0), Coalville Town (4-2), Witton Albion (2-0) and Barwell (3-1). However, they were then comfortably beaten 5-2 by Workington, before most recently being knocked out of the FA Cup by Shildon (1-0). Simon Richman is in contention for a return to the starting line-up, whilst Josh Amis, Sean Miller and Laurence Taylor are all doubtful.

The game takes place at the J. Davidson Stadium, postcode WA15 8AP. Kick-off is at 7.45pm and admission prices are £10 adults, £7 concessions, £2 U16s and free for U12s. If you can't make the game, Farsley's Academy side are in FA Youth Cup action against Handsworth Parramore at Throstle Nest, kick-off 7.45pm.
