Farsley Celtic begin a three game home stand as they welcome Mickleover Sports to Throstle Nest on Saturday. The Celts will also welcome Ashton United in the league in midweek before an FA Trophy game against South Shields next Saturday.
Farsley will be looking to return to winning ways after two consecutive draws, with Tuesday's Integro League Cup draw against South Shields resulting in a penalty shootout defeat. Sitting just three points off top spot, Farsley's excellent league form of late has seen them defeat Marine (2-1), Coalville Town (3-2) and Nantwich Town (2-0), whilst also securing a point against Lancaster City (1-1). The Celts will be without Richard Marshall who is sidelined through injury, whilst Graeme McKibbin, Danny Ellis, James Walshaw and Isaac Baldwin will all be fresh after being rested in midweek. Ahead of the game defender Isaac Baldwin spoke with Rob Winterbottom and said "It'll be a tough game on Saturday; they all are but it's one that we want to pick up maximum points from. We've got three home games and we need to keep winning at Throstle Nest."
Mickleover Sports have had a difficult campaign so far and lie 18th, having taken just 19 points from their first 17 games. Mickleover head into the game following an excellent 3-1 win over Loughborough Dynamo in the Integro League Cup. However they have gone four games without a win in the league, losing to Shaw Lane (3-1) and Ashton United (5-2), whilst they have drawn with Stafford Rangers (1-1) and Rushall Olympic (1-1). They have no apparent injury concerns.
The game takes place on Saturday at Throstle Nest, postcode LS28 5BE. Kick-off is at 3pm with admission prices just £8 adults, £5 concessions and £1 U16s. See you there!
