A chat with Trav...

Following on from the weekends battling victory over Abingdon Town Dev, we chat to Trav about travelling to the other Abingdon side; United.

"After a good, solid performance last weekend and 3 well earned points, we have another really tough test away to Abingdon United. We need to improve on our travels and if we want to compete and improve then this is a key factor for us. We need to be more clinical and take our chances when they come along, as we really should have won by more Saturday but were almost punished and held to a draw after a brilliant strike from the visitors.

Our squad has again had to change so its a difficulty for me to name the 14 consistently, which is frustrating. But I know it's a squad game and it is a long season, so if all the player stick together, be that the starting 11, subs coming on or people missing out, everyone has an important part to play. We do get to welcome back skipper Luke Jones after a one match ban, which is good news.

I'm lucky enough to have a good bunch of lads, with good attitudes and they have come together well both on and off the pitch, which is half the battle. It's something I knew I had to implement from the start and it's great to see the changing room buzzing. They are a talented group, but still need to work harder for the whole 90 minutes and also learn from their mistakes to win games at this level."
