The Eagles' first - and eagerly anticipated - game of the season, in the Evo-Stik League South Division 1 Central, is an away tie at Kidlington FC.
The last time the sides met (for the first time in league matches) was two seasons ago in the Central Division. Bedford lost at home on 5th Nov by 2-0, and drew at Yarnton Road later in the season, 1-1.
Although the clubs stayed at the same level last season, Kidlington were moved over to the South & West division, and have been moved back into the Central division for this season.
Obviously, as this is the first game of the season, there is no form guide, and both sides have had a mixed pre-season, results wise, but apart from a couple of injured players, Jon Taylor has a strong compliment of players to choose from.
Unfortunately there is no coach to the game on Saturday. If you are driving to the game, the address is Yarnton Road, Kidlington, OX5 1AT.
The nearest train station is Oxford Parkway, approx 2 miles from the ground. From the station, you can take the 2B or OB2B bus to Broad Close, Kidlington. If you take the train, it will take just over 2½ hours from Bedford to Oxford Parkway.
Admission prices are as follows:
Adult £8
Concessions +65’s & students (proof required) £4
U16’s with an adult - free, without an adult £1
Dogs are allowed into the ground, so if you bring your four legged friend, please make sure it is well behaved and on a lead.
If you're making a day of it, Oxford is just down the road, with all the university sights. Blenheim Palace is just 4 miles from Kidlington, and if you really want to see a sight, head to 2 New High Street, Headington, to see a shark embedded in the roof of the address.
