Our first home game of the season is against a side we’re playing in a league match for the first time.
Yaxley visit the Eyrie on Tuesday 21st August for a 7.45pm kick off.
Our visitors won the United Counties League last season with 93 points, scoring a massive 135 goals, but had to win the league on goal difference over Wisbech Town (+95 if you’re wondering).
Yaxley also won their opening league match, beating Barton Rovers 4-1 at home. Matt Sparrow with a brace, Phil Stebbing, and a penalty from ex Boston Utd and Soham Town Rangers striker, Dan Cotton were the scorers. Cotton also bagged 43 goals for Yaxley last season.
Ex-Eagle, Jimmy Hartley gave Barton their consolation goal.
Judging by the opening day scores, this game could prove to be a cracker. So what do you need to know.
The game is on Tuesday 21st August at Bedford Town FC, The Eyrie, MK44 3LW.
The game kicks off at 7.45pm.
