Something’s got to give
With Salford City possessing a superb away record, eight games played, eight wins recorded, and Reds unbeaten at home, something’s got to give in Saturday’s Evo-Stik match-of-the-day.
Sandwiched between two live FA cup appearances on TV, Reds and City play each other home and away with much interest being generated by the Borough Park clash (3pm).
Derek Townsley will have a near full squad available for the 5th v. 4th encounter with James Earl, Josh Calvert, Joe McGee and Gareth Arnison all available after sitting out the Doodson Cup win over Kendal.
Ex. Red, Joe Mwasile, could be included in the City squad.
It will be Salford’s second visit to west Cumbria having played here during our one season in the North West Counties League. Reds won 5-0 on that occasion with the likes of Paul Stewart and Grant Holt amongst the goals.
For those not able to get to Borough Park, the usual coverage can be sourced from BBC Radio Cumbria and Paul Armstrong’s Live Scoreboard facility via the website.
