On Saturday The Brewers make the trip to Lincolnshire to face Brigg Town for their first match in 33 days.
Taddy go into the game having not played a match since the 19th December when they were held to a 1-1 draw away at Parkgate.
Taddy sit in 5th place in the NCEL Premier Division, seven points off current leaders Bridlington Town, six off Handsworth, five off Worksop and one point off Cleethorpes however, the games played column is the one everyone is looking at.
The Brewers have got eight games in hand over 6th place Albion Sports, three over Cleethorpes, Worksop and Handsworth and six over leaders Bridlington so the league table has been labelled as somewhat of a lie at late. In recent seasons it has been Taddy that have been the leaders but this time round it seems to be reversed as they look to come from behind with the games in-hand.
The Zebras currently sit in 20th place in the NCEL Premier Division, just four points off bottom placed Parkgate however they have played several games more than others around them. A win for Brigg could see them climb up one place but all in all they won’t be happy with their current position in the division after recently being relegated however, they have certainly had an upturn in form in recent weeks, perhaps due to the introduction of a new management team.
Brigg have turned their form around recently after a horrendous start to the season. In their last nine matches; they have won three, drawn three and lost three and that is a superb turnaround considering they have only won five matches all season.
The two sides have already met back in August at the i2i Stadium and Taddy were in fine fettle scoring five goals without reply. The Brewers went into the half-time break 3-0 up courtesy of Matt Heath, Josh Greening and Andy Milne before a second from Greening and an audacious chip from George Conway sealed the points.
Team News: No injury news for The Brewers, the squad now holds 18 so two will have to miss out, Jonathan Greening is expected to make his second debut for the club.
Prediction: Brigg Town 1-3 Tadcaster Albion – The Brewers to return to action with a win, Josh Greening to net a brace.
We aren’t running a coach for the match, but we hope to see plenty of you in attendance, your postcode for the ground is DN20 8PG and don’t forget it is a 2:00pm kick-off. #tadallover
