Steelmen‘s current form is rather impressive as they sit second in the form table, suffering only two defeats in their previous six games. They are currently in third place in the league table, behind early pace-setters Peterborough Sports and Bromsgrove Sporting. Many are tipping those three to be in the top three come the end of the season.

Kempston, by contrast, are currently bottom of the form table with just one point from their last six games. However, performances have improved of late and the battling qualities displayed against Welwyn Garden City show plenty of cause for optimism for the Walnut Boys. New signings, Andrews, Riley, Joseph and McLeod all made debuts last time out and manager Tony Joyce still has “irons in the fire” for further new arrivals as the squad undergoes a make over.

Basic directions;
Head north through Bedford, following signs for Kettering A6. Continue north on the A6, then take the first exit at the junction to join the A14 heading toward the midlands and Corby. Take exit 7, for the A43. Then follow A6003 for Corby (west). Continue on the A6003 over several roundabouts before taking the second (right turn) on the roundabout to join the A6116, signed Kirby Hall, Motor Speedway and Sports Stadium. The entrance to the ground is the first on the right, look for the big Best Western Hotel signs. The club car park is more than big enough for this fixture.
