The Easter weekend sees Stamford play two of the teams pushing for promotion this season, in Witton and Rushden and Diamonds. The Daniels travel to Cheshire on Saturday to visit Wincham Park for the second time this season having already played Northwich Victoria at the stadium. Then on Monday Stamford host their last home game of the season as Rushden and Diamonds travel to Lincolnshire.
Both Witton and Rushden and Diamonds will be looking to get all three points as they are both just outside where they want to be. Witton lie just outside the automatic promotion spot by just three points having lost 1-0 to Shaw Lane in the week. On the other hand Rushden and Diamonds are just outside of the playoff places, by two points, behind Stocksbridge.
Witton have been in better form with three wins, one draw and one loss. The three wins have come against Gresley (2-0), Carlton (2-0) and Chasetown (3-2) with the draw coming against Spalding in a 2-2 draw and a 1-0 loss to Shaw Lane.
These games have less importance to the Daniels as they are in the situation of having no chance of promotion or relegation. Wins in both games however could move the Daniels up the table to tenth but this is very unlikely due to it relying on many results favouring them.
