The Eagles are back in action on Wednesday as Sean Regan's side looks to regroup following Saturday's defeat.
After Eccleshill United suffered its first defeat at the hands of current league leaders, Shirebrook Town, the Eagles are looking to bounce back with an immediate response as they host Glasshoughton Welfare in the sides first midweek game of the season.
Despite a disappointing defeat, Eccleshill will be pleased with the fact they have two games within the week, providing an opportunity to quickly get the season back on track, and they will be aiming to do so at the first time of asking.
In what is set to be another tough test, Eccleshill will be pushing for its first victory of the season and once again Sean Regan will have a full squad to pick from, with Marcus Edwards returning, providing a boost to the attacking options.
Offensively, the Eagles have shown what they are capable of, scoring four goals in only two games, with Jonny Irving finding the back of the net in both fixtures so far, this season. The attacking midfielder has had an impressive start to the campaign and will once again be looking to cause problems, linking the play from midfield to the attack.
Whilst at the back, Sam Bradley will be hoping to lead his side to its first clean sheet of the campaign. Experienced midfielders, Charlie Flaherty and Andy Cooper will also play their role in that, sitting just in front of the back four shielding out any danger.
The visitors, who currently sit five places above the Eagles, won their first away game of the season on the opening day when defeating Selby Town (Eccleshill's next opponents) by a goal to nil.
However, they too come off the back of a defeat after losing 3-1 to Worsbrough Bridge Athletic and therefore, just like Eccleshill will be hoping to bounce back tomorrow night; setting this early season clash up for a game with high importance.
