The Eagles are back in action on Saturday, returning to the Mitton Group Stadium to host Grimsby Borough as Eccleshill United look to put last weeks defeat behind them and begin climbing back up the table.
The away trip to Selby Town proved to be a journey to forget for Sean Regan's men as they were soundly defeated in a poor second half performance and made to pay for missed chances in the opening 45 minutes.
However, Eccleshill responded well to its first defeat of the season and they will be aiming to repeat that against Grimsby in what is set to be another tough test against a promotion favourite. The visitors finished in the Play-Offs last season, narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier Division and they will be aiming to be in the mix again at the end of the season.
Grimsby, who currently sit four places above the Eagles, will be pleased with how they have started the season. After losing the opening two games without scoring a goal, they have quickly turned things around with three victories on the bounce with their latest coming in an impressive midweek 6-1 win.
Eccleshill will be confident they can earn another three points though, despite results being mixed in the opening month of the season the Eagles have played some attractive football and created countless goalscoring opportunities with Luke Harrop, in particular, starting the campaign strongly.
Regan's side have proved there is goals all across the field, however, with Ben Hardy and Jonny Irving finding the back of the net on occasion as well and that will be a major asset to the squad throughout the season.
With Marcus Edwards missing this weekend Sean Regan will once again be forced to change his side, but with Chris Lever returning to the squad he will have plenty of options available to him.
Despite it being early on in the season, with only four games being played, the table is beginning to take shape and the Eagles will be keen not to fall too far behind the pack; making this early season clash an incredibly important one.
