Eccleshill United is back on the road this weekend as the side travels to East Yorkshire Carnegie looking for a fourth consecutive league victory as Sean Regan's team continues to climb the league table.
It is a battle between the ninth and eighth placed sides with East Yorkshire Carnegie currently sitting above the Eagles by just one point, but with three games in hand on Saturday's opponent, a victory could prove to be very beneficial for Eccleshill.
The Eagles were forced to battle for the all three points away at Dronfield Town during the week in an eventful fixture, but Regan's side showed their ability to focus on the game and push through to secure the win.
There will once again be players missing for the weekend, forcing Regan to change his starting line up with both Luke Harrop and midweek's goalscorer Matt Mathers both being unavailable. Alongside them, Carlton Pownall and Liam Bartle are set to miss the game due to injury with midfielder, Charlie Flaherty being in contention for a return from his rib injury.
The full Eccleshill United squad has been utilised in recent fixtures due to injuries with the Eagles showcasing the strength in depth that this seasons squad boasts. Levi Mautrine has impressed in recent weeks as well as Liam Hudson who has slotted in at right back to solidify the back four. Andy Cooper also made his return during midweek and made an immediate impact with his first goal of the season in the opening minute of the game.
The home side has, much like Eccleshill, had a very inconsistent start to the 2017/18 campaign, with four victories, five defeats and two draws so far. It has been a difficult September so far for East Yorkshire, who haven't picked up a victory since the first game of the month, heading into the weekend's fixture on the back of two defeats; something they will be hoping to put right against the Eagles.
