The Eagles are back in league action on Saturday afternoon, when they make the trip down to Brigg to face bottom side Brigg Town.
Eccleshill go into the game off of back to back defeats, losing 3-0 at home to Winterton Rangers in the league, before travelling to Yorkshire Amateurs in midweek, a game which saw them exit the West Riding County Cup in the first round following a 2-0 defeat.
Sean Regan's side will be eager to get back to the form and performance levels that saw them win seven straight league games prior to the Winterton defeat, and has seen them climb into the playoffs places.
Brigg Town have struggled this season, recording only one league win which came at the beginning of September. Their slump in form sees them rooted to the bottom of the table, sitting on seven points after 15 games.
Their last outing was a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Bottesford Town, in the first round of the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy.
Brigg will be desparate to get back to winning ways in the league to try and catch the teams above them and drag themselves out of the relegation zone.
Eccleshill were boosted by the returns of top scorer Jonny Irving and the industrious Chris Lever in the midweek cup game, and it is likely that they will feature on the weekend.
Charlie Flaherty will also be available for selection after he served the last of his three match ban in the Winterton loss, so Sean will be pleased that he has those options back.
The Eagles had the beating of Brigg last season, defeating them in both league fixtures. The home game was a thrilling seven goal encounter, which Eccleshill just managed to edge 4-3, whilst the away game was a more comfortable 3-1 victory.
Both sides are looking to get back to winning ways for their respective battles on opposite ends of the table, which is why the game will most likely be an entertaining spectacle.
