In a quick turnaround of fixtures, Eccleshill United are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Doncaster to face potential play-off candidates Rossington Main.
Eccleshill go into the game off the back of a thrilling 2-2 draw with Emley, which saw both sides finish with 10 men, and Liam Hudson rescuing a point for Sean Regan's side with the very last kick of the game deep into added time.
Rossington's last outing was a 2-0 defeat at league leaders Knaresborough Town, two early goals from the side at the summit were enough to see them secure all three points and send Rossington home empty handed.
The sides have met already at the Mitton Group Stadium in the league this season, where The Eagles ran out 3-0 winners. Andy Cooper scored early on, and late goals from centre backs Sam Bradley and Matt Mathers added some gloss on the scoreline.
A scorer in the reverse fixture, Matt Mathers will be unavailable for this one as he was sent off early in the second half against Emley, which will give gaffer Sean Regan a selection headache on Saturday.
Eccleshill's recent form has seen them stay well within the automatic promotion picture, and their fate is still in their own hands. With two games in hand over second placed Grimsby Borough, who sit two points above The Eagles, the squad will know every game is crucial at this stage of the season.
Rossington meanwhile, have lost only twice in their last seven, dating back to the beginning of February. Three of those games were draws, but they will be looking to bounce back from defeat on Saturday and will most definitely provide a stern test for The Eagles.
The Doncaster based side currently sit in 10th place, with seven points separating them and the play-off spots. They have an outside chance of making the play-offs but know that if they are to do it, they need to put a good winning run together.
Eccleshill are boosted by the introduction of new signings Zephaniah Thomas and Ben Mcready, further bolstering Sean's options and squad depth in this vital run in.
The Eagles will give it their all tomorrow afternoon, and should have what it takes to claim all three points, however, Rossington will be no pushovers and it should be a very entertaining game of football.
