Eccleshill United is on the road this weekend for the Eagles latest NCEL Premier Division clash as Sean Regan's squad make the trip to Bottesford Town looking to get back to winning ways.
Eccleshill managed to salvage a point in Wednesday's clash with Staveley Miners Welfare, coming from two goals behind in the final 10 minutes in a draw that certainly felt like a win in the circumstances, and the confidence appeared to be back in the squad.
The Eagles will now be aiming to use that momentum to create another positive result against Bottesford in what is going to be another tough test against a strong side which is also looking to get back to winning ways.
Bottesford was defeated 2-1 in its midweek clash against Athersley Recreation, despite taking the lead in the third minute of the game, however the loss was only Bottesford's second of the entire season in the league, and you would have to go back to August to find the previous loss, making this a very tricky game.
One player in particular that Eccleshill will be wary of is Bottesford's Jack McMenemy who has been on fine form so far this season, finding the back of the net 10 times already, making him the joint third top scorer in the entire league.
Sean Regan will once again have tough decisions to make regarding his starting line-up, with Jake Thompson getting on the scoresheet and making a terrific impact from the bench, as well as midweek knocks to Luke Harrop and Aran Basi that will need to be evaluated prior to kick off.
Despite that, there will no doubt be another strong line-up from the Eagles with Chris Lever hoping to continue his fine form after earning a Man Of The Match award midweek, and the squad has been boosted this week by the signing of Tom Rose from Yorkshire Amateurs.
With both teams searching for a victory to propel them further up the table and only one point separating them, it is sure to be another thrilling afternoon of football.
