The Eagles travel to Throstle Nest this afternoon to face local rivals Albion Sports. This will be the first meeting this season with the Lions.

As the previous home fixture at the Mitton Group Stadium got postponed - twice.

Eccleshill United come into their first game of March in a mix-bank of form - having only one once in February and went against their form from the latter months - losing twice!

The Eagles lost their unbetaen record that stretched all the way to Halloween night last year - but they'll be certain to go again and try create a new run, starting this afternoon.

Albion Sports come into the game on a similar slump - they did beat Handsworth Parramore not so long ago, but couldn't keep the momentum after the win.

With the bottom two (Harrogate Railway and Hall Road) and 18th place Goole AFC picking up points here and there - Albion Sports are on the danger of being pulled into the relegation dog fight.

A key player for Albion Sports is full-back Tyler Marsh, a young player coming through the game - he will be a key player, not only for his technical ability, but he is currently part of the Eccleshill United Under 18's squad!

As for Eccleshill United, looking away from Sean Regan's dangermen - it may be an idea to look at the standout players who have played for Albion Sports before - all seven.

Aran Basi grew up around Albion Sports, and he has captained and led his boyhood club on many Saturday afternoons - he spent over ten years at the club.

Another player who started his career at the club was Tom Dugdale - 'Dugi' first came out on the block as an Albion player and hasn't looked back since - creating an impressive c.v in non-league.

Levi Maturine and Matt Mathers have also played for Albion Sports, not much has changed to their game since - consistently playing at their own personal high levels.

Current captain, Charlie Flaherty spent one season with the Lions, in which he won the league - but one season was all, as he re-joined the Eagles later. Also, ex-captain Sam Bradley used to play with his childhood best friend Aran Basi at the heart of defence - like he has done at Eccleshill United too - but has since moved to Dubai.

Finally, another man who has played for Albion Sports is goalkeeper, Jack Bentley. Bentley's time at Albion Sports started off very well, but an injury condemned him really thriving at the club.

Sticking with injuries, and for today's game - Sean Regan will be hopeful of having a fully fit squad - with a couple of absentees with knocks, as well as long-term absentee Jack Bentley (still not available).
