Cornish duo await Cherry & Whites at Barum.
Camborne will travel to Devon for the 3rd consecutive away trip this weekend where they take on Barnstaple.
The hosts will have a couple of familiar faces in their lineup including former Cherry & Whites colt and Cornwall lock Ben Hilton . Ben partnered 'Towns' player/coach Damian Cook in the County second row for several seasons, so they certainly have a good insight on each others style of play. Another player well known to majority of our squad is former Plymouth Albion and Cornwall centre Jake Murphy who captains the Devon team.
The teams sit in 5th and 6th place in the South West Premier league, so everything points to a close encounter this Saturday. It's the first time the teams have met since 2005 when Camborne completed a league double over Barum who were relegated that season. The hosts dropped down from National 2 last season and will be desperate to go straight back up, so Camborne know they'll have a fight on their hands to get anything from this match.
Team News;
Selectors have made just two changes to the starting XV with former England u20's prop Malcolm Hearn coming off the bench and Cornwall front rower Andrius Zacharovas moving the other way. In the backs Lewis Vinnicombe has failed to get over from a knock picked up last week so Connor Swan moves into the centre as Lewis Thomas reverts to his preferred Full back role with Bradley Bawden coming in on the wing.
There's also a place on the bench for promising young forward Liam Barkwill who's happy at prop or flanker where his pace will cause the opposition a problem or two.
The team will be hoping to see the same support they've enjoyed in the last couple of away days in Devon when over two dozen travelled each time to get behind them.
