Cammell Laird played in the Wirral Senior Cup quarter final on Saturday, when a disappointing performance saw them lose 2-1 against Ellesmere Port Town from the West Cheshire League Second Division.

Laird make their first visit to Hind Heath Road on Wednesday evening and sit in 7th place, with a point less than Sandbach, having played 27 games.

A victory for either team will keep the pressure on those teams above them in the play-off positions.
