Old Gs travel to New Ash Green on Saturday looking to continue their promising early 2018 form. Last week Old Gs were convincing victors against Sittingbourne and will look to produce a similar performance in this local derby. Despite securing victory in the return fixture earlier in the season, Old Gs know that they will be in for a tough test as New Ash Green look to avenge that defeat, with both sides looking to work their way further up the Kent 1 table.
In regards to selection, Old Gs make a few changes to the squad that took to the field against Sittingbourne. Lewis Moss returns in the front row, where he is joined by Brett Buckingham and hooker Noel Hartley. Joe Martin and skipper Frazer Barnes continue in the 2nd row engine room. The in form Kevin Spain comes onto the flank to replace the injured Mat Coomber, where he is accompanied by Phil Costley and no.8 Andy Morris.
The backline is unchanged. Doug Wilson and Matt Holdstock are the half backs. Pat Foreman and Ben Wadsworth feature in the centres, with the same back three of Matt Thompson, James Hood and Chris Johnson.
Paul Mitchell provides front row cover from the bench, alongside Mat Wilson and Jack Nash, who returns from suspension.
Kick off at New Ash Green is at 2pm and all support is welcome!
