With Christmas and the New Year celebrations all done and dusted, this Saturday sees the 1XV travel down the M4 to Monks Lane to face the Newbury Blues in this first Berkshire derby of 2018. (KO 2.15pm).

Earlier in the season Bracknell narrowly edged out the Blues in a close game at Lily Hill. Bracknell ended their 2017 with a draw against third placed Bournemouth while Newbury recorded a 21-23 win at Lydney in their final game of the year.

With the squad well rested after the break Head of Rugby Daniel ap Dafydd will be hoping to have no fresh injury concerns. With only three points separating the teams in the league expect an exciting game as each team looks to get their New Year off to a winning start.

Also travelling to Newbury are the 3XV who open their New Year with a friendly fixture against Newbury 3XV.
