Another crushing defeat for Town as they fade after a bright start.
With no true defenders on show, it was a makeshift defence that started the game and it was vital that defence was protected.
For 31 minutes, apart from the odd scare, the defence was protected as town pinged the ball around from back to front to control the game.
The only disappointment was the lack of chances our play deserved, and we were punished on 31 mins when Mitchell Fairhurst nodded home unchallenged from a corner.
EFC 0-1 B&H 31 mins
As you would expect from the team low of confidence, Burgage then took over the game and doubled their lead on 38 mins through Ashley Mason.
EFC 0-2 B&H 38 mins
Town made it to half-time without any further damage, but you sensed what was coming in the 2nd half.
EFC 0-2 B&H HT
2nd half continued with Burbage happy for town to have the ball knowing that they would get the ball back. That tactic worked a treat as our defence crumbled to allow further goals from Conor Beasley on 55 mins.
EFC 0-3 B&H 55 mins
James Graham on 77 mins.
EFC 0-4 B&H 77 mins
Jake Armstrong on 85 mins.
EFC 0-5 B&H 85 mins
It could have been worse but Max Alford with his usual Penalty save mixed with other saves, ensured Burbage goal tally remained at 5.
Even though we were well beaten, credit to the lads who never gave up and only the crossbar stopped us getting on the scoreboard.
EFC 0-5 B&H FT
Summary
A stroll in the park for Burbage that proved there is a lot of work required to turn Town's season around. Turn it around we will do, starting with a bottom 2 clash next week away to Friar Lane & Epworth.
