A disappointing defeat against a well drilled Prims side that leaves us in a fight to avoid relegation.
We started well and put Prims under a lot of pressure and we had our chances to take the lead. This would cost us later in the half.
Once Prims settled down, it become a close contest between two even sides.
Both sides looked dangerous on the attack and only a fantastic save from our goalkeeper Stephen Morse stopped us going behind.
We kept on pressing but could not find a way through Prims defence.
The key moment of the game came in the 40th min when a speculative long range shot from Prims Mthabisi Miauzi caught the wind and swirled in the air that forced our goalkeeper into a late movement to jump and catch the ball on this line. This late movement meant our Goalie was off balance and as he came down he twisted his knee and as he hit the floor, the ball bounced out of his hands and rolled into the goal.
Credit to the Prims centre forward whose first concern was to our goalkeeper rather than celebrating the goal.
After a long delay, our Goalkeeper struggled to his feet and we kicked off with the score.
40 mins 0 - 1
This knocked the stuffing out of the lads as our long run of bad luck continued.
The game then limped to half-time with the score
EIBS 0-1 Prims
We were confident in the 2nd half we could still win the game but Prims had the wind behind them and we struggled from minute 46.
We done well to contain Prims but could not get a break going forward.
Of the two sides, Prims were more likely to make to 2-0 then EIBS to make it 1-1.
We battled but apart from a couple of shots from free kicks never made the goalkeeper work.
This allowed Prims to comfortably see the game out to make the final score.
EIBS 0 - 1 Prims
Summary
