A disappointing 3-0 defeat against an Aylestone Park team made up of Ibstock Youth and ex Ellistown And Ibstock players.
The game started with high hopes that Ellistown and Ibstock could get there 1st points of the season and our chances increased as for the 1st half we had the wind in our backs.
As usual we went toe to toe with our opponents and had more of the play but crucially we never played to the conditions and tested the Aylestone Goalkeeper who spent most of the 1st half outside of his area with long shots.
As usual the opponents scored with there 1st attach when ex-player Mahiar Mohammad slotted in from a free kick on 32 mins.

With a little luck we could have equalised straight away when a stray header from an Aylestone defender in the wind looped over the goalkeeper and was heading for the net when the goalie managed to get a finger on the ball to turn it away for a corner.
You sensed the players knew at that point it was not going to be our day as both teams settled for a half-time score of.

The 2nd half started with the wind behind Aylestone and they played to the conditions by hitting the ball forward at every chance and it was no surprise when they scored the 2nd through Mahiar Mohammad on 53 mins.
EIBS 0-2 AP 53 mins
We could have caved in at this point but credit to the lads we kept on going and had Mitch Williams scored with 2 excellent chances then we would have had a different ending.
Aylestone made sure of the 3pts when Adam Joynson scored direct from a free kick on 85 mins.
EIBS 0-3 AP 85 mins
Aylestone played out the final minutes of the game to make the final score.
