Our worst performance of the season in a must win game saw Gedling run out easy 4-1 winners.
We started the game with 8 changes to the team that beat Birstall on pens and it showed as we were disjointed from the kick-off and it did not take long Gedling to work this out as they took only 3 minutes to take the lead when Dwain Brown headed home.
EIBS 0-1 GMW 3 mins
We could not get in the game as Gedling tore us apart time and time again and the only surprise it was only 1-0 at half-time.
EIBS 0-1 GMW HT
With some choice words said at half time, EIBS started the 2nd half on top but lacked the final ball, luck or finish to get back into the game.
We got back in the game on 62 minutes when Luke Farmer was chopped down in the box and Mitchell Williams slotted home the penalty.
EIBS 1-1 GMW 62 mins
This was our chance to go on and win the game as we were on top but we exploded on 68 mins when a hopeful punt sailed over our defenders and left Damon Charlton with the simple task of slotting the ball past Steven Morse to make to 1-2.
EIBS 1-2 GMW 68 mins
Game over for us as Gedling knew the game was won and went for further goals as our heads dropped.
Therefore it was no surprise when Mitchell Slawson scored to make it 1-3 on 80 mins and Jordan Whitehead scored to make the final score.
EIBS 1-4 GMW FT
Summary
Another bad day at the office as Gedling run out easy winners. We go again next week at high flying Stapenhill.
