4-1 defeat harsh on the lads

A tough 4-1 defeat against top of the table Bardon Hill. An under strength Town went down to 2 penalties, disputed goal and scored the best goal of the game.

An even start to the game suggested Ellistown could spring a shock and walk away with the 3 points.

The suggestion lasted 10 mins as Kerr Horn opened the scoring for Bardon from the penalty spot.

BH 1-0 EFC 0 10 mins

Town got back into the game on 17 mins when Ibrahima Jalloh scored a 25 yard free kick.

BH 1-1 EFC 17 mins

Bardon then kicked on as some robust challenges went unpunished. They took the lead on 35 minutes when Kerr Horn scored his 2nd while our goalkeeper Julian Waho who was flatten in the build up was getting to his feet.

BH 2-1 EFC 35 mins

Horn completed his 1st half hat-trick on 39 minutes as Bardon went into the break 3-1 up.

BH 3-1 EFC 39 mins

BH 3-1 EFC HT

Credit to town who came out for the 2nd half and worked hard to get back into the game. We frustrated Bardon who in typical Mourinho style parked the bus.

Bardon rounded off the scoring on 85 mins when Sam Harkin scored the 2nd penalty of the match.

BH 4-1 EFC 85 mins

BH 4-1 EFC FT

Summary

Well played lads, you pushed Bardon all the way and proved to everyone we are not far off being a good team.

We go again next week in a relegation six pointer away to FC GNG 3pm ko.
