Credit to both sides who on a difficult pitch gave everything. In the end, it was Ellistown who picked up the 3pts in a close 1-0 victory.
Played on a pitch that did not allow passing football, it was was no surprise that the 1st half was a tight affair with both sides struggling to create clear cut chances.
Of those clear cut chances only Joshua Rock knows how he managed to put the ball over from 5 yards out, while Julian Waho had to be alert to stop a couple of crosses and long range shots.
At half time both sides walked off the pitch knowing the game was up for grabs.

This approach worked well, as Kirby never threaten and town should have added to the one goal.
With away fans counting down the seconds and shouting for town to keep it in the corner, the ref blew for full time and town walked off the pitch knowing they had been in a game and deserved the victory.
