In an open game, defensive errors cost Ellistown as Khlasa took the lead on 7 mins through poor marking. Zak Adams deservedly drew town level on 16 mins when he drilled in a low cross.

Typical of recent performances, Ellistown thew away all the good work by conceding a penalty straight from the re-start. Khalsa made no mistake from the spot.

Town's cause was not helped by being on the end of questionable referee decisions that were not replicated across the 2 teams. Credit to the Ref, he had a more balanced 2nd half.

FCK will be disappointed they ended the half not adding to the 3 goals while Town knew they were not out of it.

Credit to Ellistown, they came flying out of the traps and went for Khalsa and halved the deficient on 61 mins with Zak Adams 2nd goal of the game.

They say goalkeepers change games and today was no exception, at 3-2 Town's Alex Egner made a triple save to keep Town in it and 5 minutes later Zak Adams was nailed on to make to 3-3 but somehow Khalsa's Marco Cancar managed to save his close range shot.

Our hearts sunk on 82 minutes as another defensive mistake let Khalsa in to make it 4-2.

That goal knocked the stuffing out of Ellistown as they stopped playing and allowed Khalsa the freedom of the park to score the 5th on 87 mins, 6th on 88 mins and 7th on the stroke of full time.

Summary

A defeat that is a good summary of where we are at the moment. We can score goals, we can play football, we need to improve our team defending.

Our last game of the year is next week when we host our neighbours Barlestone St Giles. The xmas break comes at the right time for Ellistown.
