Ellistown's first home game since 14th September ended in defeat as Asfordby took advantage of an Ellistown team who could not get themselves out of the post xmas slumber.
As the opening paragraph suggested, this was an easy win for the visitors as they controlled play from the opening whistle and only superb goalkeeping from Warwick Miller stopped the final score becoming even more embarrassing for the home team.
Goals from Dean Randall (16 mins) and Mike Hendey (81 mins) secured the points and Ellistown know games will be coming thick and fast and getting the bad game out of the way early is not a bad thing.
Congratulations to Asfordby and we are looking forward to the return game in 2 weeks.
