A superb professional performance saw off a game Highfield Rangers side 4-1.
With Town coming off 4 straight victories we are confident going into this game against a Highfield side who are finding their feet in the Premier League.
This was clear in the first 15 mins as we lay siege to the Rangers goal and deservedly took the lead on 14 mins when Josh Anderson headed home from a cross.

Roared on by Highfields’s super fan, it was credit to the team they never folded as they contained town and started to use their physical advantage to boss the game. During this period, we had to be tight at the back, we were, win the midfield battles, we did and take our chances when they came, we nearly did.
We are content to control the game by suffocating Highfield as we knew the big guns up front, Josh Anderson and Haydn Brown would bag the goals to make the game safe.
The fact we were in this position for most of the first half was proof how far we have come over the last 5 games. While under pressure, we never looked in danger of conceded as Keenan Taliby marshalled his defense and Ollie Coe put in a man of the match, Ngolo Kante performance in midfield.
We went in at half-time in control at 1-0.

The 2nd half would be defined by who scored next. If town scored then game over, if Rangers scored then a tough 2nd half lay ahead.
Adam Poxon on 55 mins made sure it would Town who would get the 3 points as he stabbed home a free kick rebound from close range.
EFC 2-0 HR FC 55 mins
Again, credit to Highfield they continued to try and get back into the game, but they could not get past our defensive\midfield wall.
Defensive lapses allowed Josh Anderson on 75 mins and Haydn Brown on 82 mins to put Ellistown 4-0 up and in cruise mode.
EFC 3-0 HR FC 75 mins
EFC 4-0 HR FC 82 mins
That cruise mode allowed Highfield to score through Louis Hamilton on 88 mins.
EFC 4-1 HR FC 88 mins
We had some heart in mouth moments during the last 2 couple of mins but came through these as we took the 3 points with another 4-1 victory.

Summary
A super professional performance from the lads as they made it 5 consecutive wins to sit 5th in the league.
Shout out to Highfields’s super fan who spent all game backing his team and questioning every rule in the rule book and then went to scoop up the kit and was last to leave the away dressing room that was cleaned and therefore ensured one less job for our volunteers.
