Abbey Vale start the new season with a 6-2 victory over Lochmaben FC

Abbey Vale kicked off the 2020/21 South of Scotland Football League with a 6-2 win against Lochmaben FC. Ben Irving and Craig Kerr with the goals in the first half either side of a Lochmaben equaliser saw Vale go 2-1 up at the break. Two quick fire goals at the start of the second half from Irving saw him get his hat trick with one being from the penalty spot. The visitors pulled a goal back to make it 4-2 before Sammy Hughes got his second stint at the club off to a good start with a fine strike, and Irving completed the scoring with another penalty to round off a good win and 3 points to kick off the new season.
