The RFU have shared their plan for rugby to be rebooted. The anticipated start of this begins from the end of March, with the first possible weekend of activity being the 3rd & 4th if April. Our coaches, captains and leads of Adult & Age Grade are busy discussing and getting players feedback on how to reboot at Acklam in the most enjoyable way. We all hope this roll out is a steady return to the rugby we have missed over the past year!
Details on our first big weekend back will be shared here and with groups. We hope to be able to maximize the opportunity with as much game play as possible! Some details are yet to be confirmed such as return to facility use, and we will share those as we get to know. When we return to being able to socialise, initially we anticipate this to being outdoors and again we hope to maximize this opportunity!
Some modifications to age grade rugby mean that summer activity will be possible this year and we look forward to some social fun and enjoyment for all our players and supporters through the summer months moving smoothly into the 2021-22 season.
If you have ideas how to improve the enjoyment of our return and how you can help with that, please contact our Rugby leads: Adult Mike Dickons, Age Grade Len Taylor, Walking Rugby Kerr Everett or alternatively my self.
Many thanks to all for your continued support in these times, your patience and cooperation in how we reboot....but at last we have a target to a full recovery!
