Acklam Under 11s Yorkshire Festival @ Northallerton

ACKLAM under 11s Yorkshire Festival

A busy schedule for our first competitive matches of the season.
Richmond 4 Acklam 2

A bruising re introduction to u11 rugby both teams going for it, offensively sound but hesitant in the ruck, different start rules confused us a lot,a silky run and try from Sam and a superb
Bursting ru fro Zak lit up the match with a crunching defensive tackle from Joseph.

Whitby 3 Acklam 4

Acklam bounced back from the 1st match showing a lot of guts ,3 tries from Sam who seemed to be everywhere ,Zak chipped in with another barrelling run, but they all contributed with great defence from jj ,chuck,Hayden and Logan, with Georgia, kieran Joseph and James denying space and Liam hammering away .

Northallerton 3 Acklam 1

Against our hosts for the day we battled away but again struggled at the breakdown but were improving and adapting another Sam try but overall better team performance.

Ripon o Acklam 1

The score doesn't do the match justice acklam faced an onslaught from the start but held the goal line fantastically stopping 3 certain tries on the line ,Logan.jayden,Joseph,Zak,Georgia, kieran, liam Sam, James,j I take a bow.
A try from liam won the match but what a try at one stage he had 4 people hanging on him but kept on going from one end of the pitch to the other.

Ripon 7 Acklam 1

Against a fit and very fast ripon side match practice and fatigue caught up with team, they still, kept trying liam scoring another liam special but couldn't fault the effort.

Special mentions to chuck who was taken off in the second match with a shoulder injury ,get better soon mate.
And James who was flattened in match v ripon but got up recovered and played in the last match well done young ma
Over all more positives than negatives and were up and running.
