Acklam win both their games and Stockton beat Whitby.

Another day of gale force winds that blew across Talbot Park but thankfully it wasn't so cold and the rain kept off. The games were scrappy and understandably because of the high winds, however the lads give it their all. We had the luxury of having 18 players after thinking we would not be able to field a full team because of the coronavirus scare.

The games were two 15 minute halves and Alex Faint officiated the three games with his usual high standards. The first game was Acklam v Stockton which turned out to be a very competitive match which Acklam won, 17-5. Acklam scored three tries to one with Harvey, Regan and Dan names on the score sheet. Dan's try was a bit special seeing he has just started to play, he caught the ball from the kick off and sprinted 60 metres to cross the line.

Stockton trailed Whitby for most of the game having gone behind with two tries from the Whitby No.13 who had power and pace in his locker. Stockton played the better rugby and finished winning, 20-12.

Acklam dominated the game against Whitby and won comfortably, 22-0. The try scorers were Dylan (x2), Regan and Jay who sprinted down the touch line from 30 metres out.

p.s. we need to get some photos on the club web....see Mark.
