Acklam Under 16’s making good progress, which bodes well for the future of the adult playing section within the club.

With 8 games played, Acklam under 16’s are showing signs of maturing and developing into very good players which bodes well for the future of the adult section and the club as a whole.

Playing meaningful colts rugby will develop the players tremendously and I believe with the players we have and the support behind them (parents/carers) the team and group of players will go from strength to strength.

So far this season they have played 8 games and have lost 4 and won 4, scoring on average 30 points per game. Not only is this mantra of the way we want to play but even in defeat we strive to play rugby in an attacking and exciting style.

There will undoubtedly be bumps in the road, however these lads are demonstrating resilience in defeat but also humility in victories, credit to them.

I could name every player individually however, the real asset to this squad is the team spirit they have, togetherness and the willingness to throw a rugby ball about and enjoy themselves.

The future is bright,
The future is Acklam.

All the best.
